Ear reshaping, also known as Otoplasty, is a simple procedure that is normally performed on children, but can also be highly beneficial for adults. Otoplasty is used to correct ears that stick out too far from the head, but can also be used to treat ears that have failed to develop correctly. Candidates for Ear Correction Surgery may include patients who:
- Have ears that stick out
- A very large conchal bowl (inside the ear)
- Are unhappy with the general shape of their ears
- Have ears with a cauliflower appearance (usually through contact sport)
